Entrance exam

The graduate school entrance examination (recommendation-based from National Colleges of Technology / general selection (oral and written)) for admission in 2024 will be held in July. Please check the website of the Department of Engineering Sciences, Interdeciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences for information on the Plasma and Quantum Science and Engineering major under the category II.

At the 29th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference(FEC2023) held from October 16 to 21, 2023, Assistant Professor Kinoshita from our department received the Outstanding Poster Award.

Prof. Nobuya Hayashi of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at Kyushu University has been elected as a member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society in the United States. His research on the effects of discharge plasma on plants and bacteria, along with its applied technologies, has been recognized. Sigma Xi, founded in 1886, is one of the oldest and most prestigious nonprofit honor societies for scientists and engineers. The aim of Sigma Xi is to celebrate excellence in scientific investigation and promote collaboration among researchers in all fields of science and engineering. Many of the world's most influential scientists, including over 200 Nobel Prize winners such as Albert Einstein, Linus Pauling, J. Watson, F. Crick, and Richard Feynman, are members of Sigma Xi.
